Unit Aims

 The aim of this unit is to develop critical understanding of managing operations and information systems within projects. The interrelationships within functional areas will be examined and the influence of contemporary factors. Learners will explore organisational strategy in relation to capacity to plan for products and consider the value of inventory management using information systems and inventory scheduling.

You are the Head of Operations at one of the organisations listed below:

As a part of the global expansion plan, you are asked by the CEO to prepare a report that will outline major operational considerations that project managers of the organisation located at various geographic locations across the globe will need to consider.

 

To develop this management report, you must apply relevant theoretical concepts, models, relate them with real world examples of your chosen organisational context and critically analyse your arguments and arrive at justifiable recommendations.
