Explain how all of the following statements can be true: “Many plants use starch to provide energy”;

“Energy is supplied by glucose in both plants and animals”; and “ATP is the energy source in all living cells.”

Plants use carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight in order to produce oxygen and glucose. That glucose is then used in order to produce energy in the form of ATP (adenosine triphosphate). On the other hand, the source of glucose in mammals is usually from food.
